Plinth AEC Solutions — Help & Documentation
Ribbon commands
On the SuperModeler tab, Automation panel (in-product ribbon name during transition):
- Super Modeler — Opens the main automation panel (Levels, Grids, Structural, Architectural, Manage & Sort). Run individual modules or Run All Enabled Modules.
- Plinth AI — brings Plinth's add-in capabilities into the AI as real Tools (beyond what Claude already knows), with interactive module settings and a built-in MCP connector for Claude Desktop and other MCP clients.
- Help — In-product documentation; text-only overview, no model changes.
- Subscription — License activation, 7-day Pro trial, and Lemon Squeezy portal.
Installation
- Close Revit.
- Copy
SuperModeler.bundleto%AppData%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\SuperModeler.bundle. - Start Revit and open the automation panel from the ribbon.
Alternatively, run SuperModeler-Setup.exe and select Revit year(s).
Capabilities
Plinth AI & MCP Connector
- Plinth AI — we bring the add-in's capabilities into the AI as real Tools, beyond what Claude already knows how to do: chat with the live model, inspect and select elements, change parameters, and run the guided Plinth Workflow (levels, grids, structure, architecture) with interactive pickers for family types, levels, and module settings (beam alignment, column align-to-beam, floor perimeter, and the other panel knobs). Tool access follows your plan (Starter or Pro).
- MCP Connector — one-click connection for Claude Desktop or any MCP client over the local Model Context Protocol; exposes the same Plinth Tools (not only conversation). Uses your existing Claude plan, no API key required. Interactive pickers and settings forms open in Revit so Claude Desktop matches the in-chat guided experience.
Finish modeling
- Six tools — Create Flooring, Skirting, Ceilings Finish, Walls Finish, Columns Finish, and Beams Finish (scope by levels or rooms).
- One-click generation with level/room scope selection and BOQ-ready outputs.
Structural modeling
- Levels & Grids — Full automation to create levels and place orthogonal or curved grids — rapid setup of your model coordinate system in Revit.
- Set Boundary & Sync — Set Boundary draws editable green PLINTH_STRUCTURAL_BOUNDARY perimeters per multi-level grid package — complex sites, cutouts, and offsets. Sync copies edited boundaries between levels; partial sync preserves unchanged floors. Floors, walls, and beams follow each level's 2D boundary. (Plinth Pro).
- Join All — automatic join cleanup across selected structural elements (Plinth Pro).
- Structural members — Foundations, columns, beams, floors, walls (Plinth Pro).
Architectural coordination
- Insert Rooms — Automatic room placement across every selected level in parallel — the same logic as Revit's Place Rooms Automatically.
- Bulk Room Naming — Apply a sequential name prefix with XY spatial matching — copy naming from a source room without using room number or id.
Manage & productivity
- Opening Analyzer, Bulk View Manager, Bulk Visibility Control, 3D Isolate & Explode, Color Override, and Delete By Z (Plinth Pro).
Licensing & plans
- Plinth Starter ($14.99 / month; $149.99 / year) — full finish modeling plus architectural coordination (Levels, Grids, Insert Rooms, Bulk Room Naming).
- Plinth Pro ($39.99 / month; $419.99 / year) — Full Plinth AEC Solutions. One license key.
